After going over some of the hw problems, we started lesson 1.2 on slopes and intercepts. We went over many examples of graphing linear equations as well.
HW Do # 1-18 all on the worksheet handed out at the end of class.
Remember that the TI-83 or TI-84 calculators are due on Friday, September 7th.
EC problem....Identify the slope and y-intercept of the linear equation 5( y-1) = -2(x+3). Then, graph this equation.

We went over worksheet 1.2 for classwork. This work is on points, lines, and planes. More vocabulary and drawing of intersecting planes were discussed during class.
HW 2 Worksheet 1.2 # 3-22 for homework---Remember, compass and straightedge are due on Wednesday, September 5th.
EC problem....Draw a vertical plane Z intersecting a horizontal line m in a point G.

We went over most of the hw problems, and then started lesson 1.2 on slopes and intercepts.
We went over the graphing of horizontal and vertical lines as well. You should memorize the slope formula...

Algebra 2H pd 1
We went over the standard and slope-intercept forms for linear equations. We also learned how to tell if a table or equation is linear or not linear.
HW 1 Do # 1-18 on the worksheet handed out at the end of today's class.
EC problem....Write the equation y = -(x - 5) in standard form. Graph your equation.

Pd 4 will be meeting in room 427 starting tomorrow!
We reviewed the hw paper on inductive reasoning, and then started lesson 1.2 on the Basic Terms of geometry. We will finish this lesson tomorrow during class.

We went over how to graph equations in standard form (Ax + By = C) and slope-intercept form ( y= mx + b). We also learned how to tell if the numbers in a table are in a linear relationship.

EC problem..... Graph 2x + 3y = 6 and y= (-2/3)x + 2 on the same graph. What do you notice?

Welcome back everyone! Hope this semester will be the best yet!
Pd 1 Algebra 2 Honors
Today, we went over the requirements for this class. A TI 83 or TI 84 graphing calculator is needed for this course. I will be checking for these next week!
