Using the graphing calculator, we saw the relationship between the vertex, width, and direction of the parabolas for the equation y= a(x-h)^2 + k. Hopefully, you were able to follow it all.
We reviewed the steps for completing the square in order to get the vertex form for graphing parabolas.

We started Chapter 4 today. It is called Congruent Triangles. Today, we went over the fact that congruent figures have the same size and same shape. Corresponding parts of congruent figures have to matched up exactly.
HW page page 120 # 1-14 all, and # 18
EC problem.....Find examples of congruent figures on the Internet. Bring to class tomorrow.

We reviewed some factoring problems, and then learned how to solve quadratic equations by completing the square method. This works when problems will not factor.
