Day 4

Algebra 2H pd 1
Students received their textbooks today. We reviewed exponential functions, graphing, and the compound interest formula.
HW Finish the review sheet that you started in class. Also, bring your binders and textbooks to class tomorrow. There will be a short quiz tomorrow.
EC problem.....If your Pilgrim ancestor in the year 1620 started a savings account of $200 at 6% interest compounded semi-annually, how much money you get in 2008? Show the set-up as well as the answer.

Geometry H pds 2,4
Pd 2 students received textbooks today. Pd 4 students received textbooks yesterday.
After reviewing ratio problems, we went over the properties of proportions. These include means-extremes product property, equivalent form, denominator addition, and equal ratios by adding the numerators/adding the denominators.
HW page 247 # 2-30 evens, and # 21,22
EC problem Make up your own original proportion problem with two equal ratios (EX: 1/2=2/4). Then, write three equivalent forms of your ratio. Do NOT use my example!!!
Use the means-extremes property to show your proportions are equivalent.

Algebra 2B pd 5
Students received textbooks today. They must be brought to class on Monday.
HW Do # 1-15 all on the review sheet handed out in class today. This is what will be the types of questions on your short quiz tomorrow.
EC problem....If your grandfather started a savings account of $300 in 1960 at 5% interest compounded quarterly, how much would his investment be worth at the end of 2008?
