Week Eight

Algebra 2H pd 1
Today, we started the unit on the conic sections. These figures are the circle, parabola, ellipse, and hyperbola.
Today, we went over the equation for the circle...it Is (x-h)^2 + (y-k)^2 = r^2 where (h,k) is the center and r is the radius.
HW Worksheet # 8,12,16,20,24,28,32,36,38,42, and 46.
EC problem...# 54 (Tangent means that it touches the y-axis at one point.)

Geometry H pds 2,4
We went over Lesson 9.5 on Inscribed Angles. We learned that the measure of an inscribed angle = 1/2 of its intercepted arc. There were also 3 corollaries with this lesson.
HW Worksheet---Do all problems....
EC Draw a circle with your compass. Inscribe a quadrilateral. Measure each angle with a protractor to see if the opposite angles are supplementary.
