Week Ten

Algebra 2H pd 1
Today, we went over sample questions for the CST involving negative exponents and logarithms.
There will be a quiz on Friday- on hyperbolas, binomial theorem, and solving systems of quadratic equations.
HW Worksheet on the hyperbola # 1-6 all (We set up #5 during class today.)

EC problem....Solve the system (x-2)^2 +y^2 = 5 (There are 2 solutions)
x-y = 1

We continued going over CST sample problems. Today, we covered the Pythagorean theorem, volume, and area problems.
We will have a quiz this Friday on the areas of rectangles, squares, parallelograms, triangles, rhombuses, and trapezoids. All formulas must be MEMORIZED!!!!
HW Worksheet -Do all problems, except for # 7,14, and 15.
EC problem....A right triangle has hypotenuse 18 cm and one acute angle of 52º. Find its area. (Hint: You will need trigonometry to do this problem.)
