After going over hw problems, I collected the hw papers for lesson 1.4. Next we started Lesson 1.5 on Measuring Segments. You need to understand the concepts of absolute value and equation solving to do well on this lesson. We went over the Ruler Postulate (P1.5), as well as the Segment Addition Postulate (P1.6).

EC problem....Draw a line with three collinear points J, K, and L in that order from left to right.
If JK = 5x-8, and KL = 7x+24 and JL = 128, find the value of x and JK and KL.
