Week of October 13th

Algebra 2H pds 1,2
After going over the hw on graphing absolute value functions and parabolas with domain and range, we started lesson 3.6 on Function Notation. F(x), read "f of x" means the same as Y.
HW page 174 # 26,36
page 182 # 1-23 odds.

EC problem...page 183 #54 (easy one!)

Geometry H pds 3,5,6
We started Chapter 3 today. This Chapter is on Parallel Lines. Today, we covered most of lesson 3.1-we learned about corresponding angles, alternate interior angles, same-side interior angles and alternate exterior angles.
If a transversal intersects two parallel lines, then alternate interior angles and the corresponding angles are congruent to each other. The same-side interior angles are supplementary.
HW Worksheet # 1-15 all
EC problem---On your own paper, draw two parallel lines with a transversal. Put in numbers for the 8 angles formed. Name all pairs of a)corresponding angles
b) alternate interior angles
c) same-side interior angles.
Measure your angles with a protractor. Do your answers match the postulates and theorems we learned in class today?
