EC problems #6 and # 12.
Geometry H pds 3,5,6
Today, we worked on a concept lesson to determine the best type of container for selling chocolate. The choices were a cylinder, square prism, and triangular prism. Most students were surprised that the cylinder container had the most volume.
We also learned that doubling or tripling the dimensions of a rectangular prism make the volume cubed and the surface area squared.
EC problem---How did today's lesson help you to better understand volume and area of containers with the same height but different bases?
