Week of May 4th

Algebra 2H pds 1,2
We learned about the sum of the terms in a geometric sequence and how to find the sum if the geometric sequence is infinite. Your notes should contain the formulas.
HW page 640 # 19,23,27,31,35,39,47(pd 2 only), and 55 on page 642.

EC problem....the end of a swinging pendulum 90cm long moves through 50cm on its first swing. Each succeeding swing is 9/10 of the preceding one. How far will the pendulum travel before coming to rest? (this problem is similar to th dropped ball problem)-5 ec points if done correctly with work shown!

Geometry H pds 3,5,6
We went over the formulas for calculating the angles in a circle formed by 2 chords, by 2 tangents, by 2 secants, and by a secant and tangent. A worksheet with all of the formulas and examples of each was done during class.
HW Worksheet # 1-19 all

EC problem Draw a circle with two tangents meeting at the same point. If the major arc formed is 232 ยบ, then find the measure of the angle formed by the 2 tangents.
