We used the slope formula in problems today. We reviewed that the slopes of parallel lines are always the same, and the slopes of perpendicular lines are always opposite (negative) reciprocals of each other.

EC problem...An angle has a measure of 3x+17 and its supplement has a measure of 2x-7. Find x, and the measure of each angle.

We went over how to write proofs using the identities from trigonometry. You are required to learn the basic identities and understand how to apply them in a proof.
