After going over a few hw problems, we learned about the discriminant part of the quadratic formula. By using the answer to the discriminant, you can tell how many and what type of solutions there are in a quadratic equation. We also learned how to build equations from knowing the solutions first.

Today was the District Test for CAHSEE readiness. Students will get 20 more minutes to finish problems on this test tomorrow. I will check for calculators tomorrow. Also, the Geometry Valentines are due on Friday. Make sure you fill out the white paper to go along with your poem. Try to use geometric terms in your poem.
