Week of February 8th-Second Semester Begins!

Algebra 2H pds 1,2
We learned how to solve quadratic equations by completing the square. The coefficient in front of the x^2 term must be 1.
HW page 475 #,7,11,15,31,35,39,43, and 49.
EC problem #42.

Geometry H pds 3,5
Students need to have a scientific calculator by Wednesday of this week. This is for our lessons on trigonometry.
Today, we learned the formulas for finding the sides of the 45-45-90 right triangle, and the 30-60-90- right triangle. These should be memorized so that finding the sides of these special right triangles will be automatic for you. Hopefully, you took good notes!
HW Worksheet # 9-20 all.
EC problem-If the diagonal of a square is 44 cm, find the perimeter of the square.
Use a formula from today's lesson to solve this.

Trig pd 4
After reviewing the lesson on trigonometric and standard complex number form, we learned the formulas for multiplying and dividing two numbers in trigonometric form.
HW textbook page 440-441 # 33,35,41,51,53,55,57,59, and 63.

EC problem-Multiply (3 - i) and (-2 + i). Then change each complex number to trigonometric form and multiply them again. Show that both answers are the same by converting one form to the other form. (worth triple if done correctly).
