After going over the hw problems on geometric sequences, we learned how to find the sum of a geometric sequence (called series). The formula was given in today's notes.
HW Textbook page640-641 #17-24, 27.
EC problem- find the sum of the first 5 terms of a geometric series in which a1 =243,
and r= -3/5.

Tomorrow is the quiz on the angles of a circle. Make sure you understand the formulas for each type of angle. quick DRaw will be collected tomorrow.

EC problem- A regular pentagon is inscribed in a circle. Find the measure of each angle of the pentagon and each arc measure.
Math Analysis- We are having a quiz tomorrow on the exponential and logarithm equations. In other words, you should know how to do all of the problems from the worksheets. Calculators should only be used on the equations involving logs.
EC problem Solve for x- log (x -1) + log (x+2) = 0.
