Our first week of school has ended! You should have received your first quiz back today. Don't be discouraged if you didn't do as well as you hoped. There will be more opportunities to get good grades.
We reviewed the solving of equations today.
HW finish # 1-10 on the worksheet. Try the three word problems as well. I just want to know if you understand them!

EC problem...Solve: 5(3x - 2) + 2(1 - x)=3(7 +3x) - 4(6 - x).

Remember that compasses and rulers are due on Monday!!!!
Today, we learned more vocabulary for geometry- segments, rays, opposite rays, parallel and skew lines, betweenness of points, and parallel planes.
Make sure you review ALL terms and understand their meaning.
We are having our first quiz on Tuesday.

Trig pd 6
We are finished with lesson 1.3. Everyone should have the 6 trigonometric functions memorized in terms of x,y, and r. The words coterminal angles, terminal side of an angle in standard position, and quadrant signs for the trig functions should be understood by now.
HW- Finish the practice test for Monday. We will review this on Monday, and your first quiz will be on Tuesday.

EC problem.....Draw 45º and -45º in standard position. Choose a point on the terminal side of each angle. Show that cos(-45º) = cos 45º.
Also, show that sin(-45º)= - sin 45º.
