Algebra 2H pds 1,4
After reviewing the quadratic formula, we learned how to use the discriminant to tell how many and what kind of solutions there are in a quadratic equation in standard form. The discriminant is b^2 - 4ac.
We also learned how to write quadratic and cubic equations when given their solutions.

Geometry H pds 2,5
The construction papers on circumscribed and inscribed circles will be collected tomorrow.
Today, we started the unit on Similar Polygons. To be similar, polygons need to have their corresponding angles congruent, and their corresponding sides in proportion. We will finish today's cw worksheet in class tomorrow.
HW Worksheet 2 # 1-15 all
EC problem- Quad ABCD is similar to Quad A'B'C'D'. If A'B' = 28, BC = 15,CD = 27, and B'C' = 20, find the scale factor and AB, C'D', and A'D'. Find the ratio of the perimeters also.
Trig pd 6
After reviewing some identities, we learned the Sum and Difference Formulas.
For example, cos(A+B)= cosAcosB - sinAsinB
cos(A-B)= cosAcosB + sinAsinB.
sin(A+B)= sinAcosB + cosAsinB
sin(A-B)= sinAcosB - cosAsinB
