Algebra 2H pds 1,4
After going over the review problems for Monday's quiz, we had a Quick Draw for Points activity.
Quiz is on Monday-Study the 2 kinds of rate problems (round trip and same time), reciprocals, and work (fill the drain) problems. Also, know how to solve rational equations similar to the ones we went over in Friday's class.
EC problem page 385 # 58.
Geometry H pds 2,5
Today, we learned the sine and cosine ratios. An easy way to memorize the ratios is to learn SOHCAHTOA!
HW Worksheet # 1-22 all
EC problem...A right triangle has a hypotenuse of 52 cm and one acute angle of 72º. find the measure of the two legs.
Trigonometry pd 6
The next quiz is on Wednesday. A practice test was given out in today's class. It is due on Monday. Topics for the next quiz are complex numbers, trigonometric form, DeMoivre's Theorem, and the Roots Theorem.
HW Practice Test- Do ALL problems.

Algebra 2H pds 1,4
Our next quiz is scheduled for Monday, March 7th. The topics will be Solving Rational Equations and Application Problems Involving Rational Expressions-these include Rate, Number, and Work Problems.
HW Review Sheet - Do ALL problems-show all work!
EC problem- page 396 # 6
Geoemtry H pds 2,5
We thoroughly went over the Tangent Ratio in right triangles. By now, ALL students must have a calculator for this unit.
HW Worksheet # 1-18 ALL
EC problem- A right triangle has legs of 7 cm and 24 cm. Find both acute angles.
Trig pd 6
After going over Demoivre's theorem, we learned a new theorem called the roots theorem. This theorem helps us to find the roots of a cubic or higher level equation using trigonometric form.

Due to the field trip, students in class worked on an algebra puzzle involving Equations with Rational Expressions. All students on the field trip will be expected to complete this same puzzle.
EC problems - page 385 #46,58
Geometry H pds 2,5
We went over the results of the District Quarterly Exam #2. We began the unit on Trigonometry. Students will need a calculator for this unit(scientific or regular).
We learned that the
Tangent Ratio = Length of the Opposite Leg / Length of the Adjacent Leg.
HW-Bring a calculator to class tomorrow!
EC question-What is the meaning of the word Trigonometry?
Trigonometry pd 6
We derived and learned DeMoivre's Theorem.
