Algebra 2H pds 1,4
Today, we learned about the ellipse-every point on the ellipse is the same distance from two focal points called foci. There is a major and minor axis as well.
HW page 599 # 1-9 odds, 27,29,31, and 33.
EC problems #10,34.
Geometry H pds 2,5
After going over the CST sample problems, we reviewed the LA, TA, and Volume for prisms and cubes.
We then started the lesson on Pyramids. We went over the vocabulary, such as lateral edge, slant height, base edge, and altitude(h).
HW worksheet # 1-4 all
EC problem- Draw a square pyramid with base edge 6 cm. If the altitude is 4 cm, find the slant height and lateral edge.
Pre-Calculus pd 6
We continued going over the lesson on exponential and logarithmic functions. We learned the properties of logs and the change of base formula.
HW page 16-#37-52 all.
EC problem- Graph y = 2^x and y = (1/2)^x on the same graph.
