To all of my classes:

This is my last Hollywood High post. I have enjoyed helping some of you get those extra credit points throughout the year. I wish you success next year as well. It has been a pleasure to have been your teacher this year!

Algebra 2H pds 1,4
Finish all problems on the Practice Final. Try to look up the more difficult ones from your previous quizzes on those topics. There is one more final review sheet which will be given out on Monday.

Algebra 2H pds 1,4
After going over the hw on probability problems, we began the review for the final exam. Topics covered today were radicals, exponents, and growth/decay problems.
HW Review Worksheet # 1-13 all
EC problem- From a group of 8 men and 10 women, a committee of 6 is to be formed. How many committees can be formed if the committee is to have 3 men and 3 women on it?

Geometry H pds 2,5
We started the review for the final exam. We went over many different types of problems from the review sheet.
HW Finish the problems on the back of last night's assignment.
EC- Find the TA of a rectangular solid with dimensions 12cm,8 cm, and 4 cm.

Pre Calculus pd 6
After going over the hw problems on matrices, the first final review sheet was given out.
CW/HW- Finish these problems by tomorrow.
EC question-The diagonals of a parallelogram are 12 cm and 20 cm , and intersect at a 40º angle. Find the length of the shorter side of the parallelogram. (Use the law of cosines).

We learned about Dilations, which expand or contract polygons.
HW-finish the cw paper and Do # 1-12 on The Review Sheet for the Final Exam-
EC problem- Contract the triangle P(2,6),Q (4,-2)R(8,4) by a dilation of 1/2. Draw P'Q'R'.

Pre Calculus pd 6
We went over Operations with Matrices-addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
For multiplication, only matrices with certain dimensions
can be multiplied.

Algebra 2H pds 1,4
We learned about problems involving Combinations. Use the formulas for combinations when the order of the items involved does not matter.
HW worksheet # 9-13 all, 17-19 all, 25-28 all, and 31-33 all.
EC problems # 34

Geometry H pds 2,5
We went over the constructed response problems from the district final exam.
Then, we started the lesson on Glides and Reflections.

We learned about matrices and their determinants.

We learned about circular permutations today. The formula for basic circular permutations is: n!/(n-1)!
If the objects are reflective, then divide by 2.

We finished the LAUSD Final Exam. Hopefully, the results will arrive soon.
EC Question- Why do you think the school district wants all students to take a district final exam in geometry? Do you agree with this policy? Why or why not?

Today was the quiz on Limits.
EC- review problem- Use the law of cosines to find angle A in a triangle if a=13,
