All classes finished taking the UCLA Diagnostic Test for determining readiness to proceed to the next level of mathematics. In about two weeks, I should receive a detailed printout from UCLA about your test results. Of course, I will share the results with all of you!
Algebra 2H
On Monday, we will continue with the unit on Probability. Make sure you have pages 42 and 45 done, since it will count TRIPLE the usual credits.
EC If you roll two dice 240 times, how many times do you expect to get the sum of 7 or 11? (Find the probability of this event, and then multiply by 240).
Geometry H pds 3,5,6
On Monday, we will be going over the midpoint formula. At this point, you should know and understand the distance and slope formulas, and be able to use them to prove that a quadrilateral is a parallelogram, rectangle, rhombus, or square.
EC Question...How is the slope formula used to prove that a quadrilateral is a parallelogram? How is the slope formula used to prove that a parallelogram is a rectangle? If answered correctly, I will count this as FIVE extra credit points!
