Algebra 2H pds 1,2
Today was the math department quiz on graphing parabolas.
We went over some of the maximum/minimum problems. We will continue with these tomorrow.
EC problem- Find two numbers whose sum is 18 and whose product is a maximum. Why is it important to find the vertex of the parabola for this problem?

Geometry H pds 3,5
We learned about the angles of elevation and depression today. Both of these angles start with a horizontal ray.
HW worksheet- Do all problems.
EC question- Draw a picture and solve. The Eiffel Tower in Paris casts a shadow 150 meters long when the angle of elevation of the sun is 63ยบ. Find the height of the Eiffel Tower.

Trig pd 4
As mentioned, we are nearing the end of trigonometry. Our last trig quiz will be on Friday. Today, we continued with polar graphs and reviewed the standard form of a circle for graphing as well.
HW worksheet 8.6 #6,7,10,16,21, and 23.
EC problem Graph r=5sin theta by changing this equation into rectangular form first.
