Algebra 2H pd 1
After reviewing the quadratic formula hw, we learned about b^2 - 4ac being called the discriminant. This number tells you how many real solutions are in the quadratic equation. It does NOT tell you what those solutions are. We also started the unit on complex and imaginary numbers. We learned the i=sq root of -1.
HW pages 319-320 # 4-7 all, 9, 10, and #38,40,46, and 48.
EC problem....Find out on the internet what mathematician is credited with creating imaginary numbers.

Geometry H pds 2,4
Today was the quiz on SAS, ASA, and SSS postulates as used in proofs. The quiz covered Sections 4.1-4.3.
HW - Try to find the measurements of all angles on the top figure of the worksheet given out at the end of today's class.
EC problem....Explain how to find the measure of the 4th angle of a quadrilateral if you know the measures of the other three angles. Use at least 2 sentences.

Algebra 2A pd 5
We reviewed the quadratic formula and then learned how the discriminant (b^2-4ac) is used to tell you how many real solutions are in the quadratic equation problems.
HW Do the second side of the worksheet we started in class today.
